1. What notreal.news is

notreal.news is a parody news generator. Every story you create and share is invented comedy. Every story page carries a permanent, visible parody disclaimer. You may never use the service to deceive, defame, harass, or impersonate.

2. Consent for private subjects

If you name a private individual as the subject of a story, you must have their consent before you publish. By publishing a story about a private person you represent to us that you have that person's consent. Public figures and organizations may be subjects without consent, within the bounds of parody and these terms.

3. Content rules

The scenario catalog is absurd-only by design. Do not use the service to imply believable misconduct about anyone — no crime, fraud, illness, sexual content, or hate. We moderate: input validation and automated classification before publish, and human review of reports after. We may unpublish stories and suspend accounts that break these rules.

4. Accounts

Creating stories requires an account via Google, Apple, or Microsoft sign-in. You are responsible for activity on your account. Your identity is never publicly attributed to the stories you create.

5. Purchases

A free daily quota of publishes is included. Additional publishes and premium content are paid in credits, sold by our merchant of record, which issues receipts and handles sales taxes as the legal seller. Credits are non-refundable except where required by law.

6. Takedown

Anyone may report a story from its page. If you are the subject of a story published without your consent, report it and we will review promptly and take it down where it breaks these rules.
